UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP

“People say this is the biggest village in England – it’s definitely the friendliest.”

The Wickhambrook pub has opened under new management, and aims to be serving food by Christmas.

The Greyhound has been bought by Paul and Karen Couzens, who will be running it with son Jack, his partner Damien Pearce, and will have help from daughter Holly.

They moved in on August 17.

They have successfully run convenience stores in Kent, but have experience in the licensing and catering industries.

Paul said: “We’re now going to revamp the bars and hope to get permission to have a restaurant too.”

Karen added: “We are looking forward to giving people the pub they deserve.
